What’s Asset Value over time and how is it calculated?

Loch is possibly the only platform on the internet that enables you to visualize the historical performance of wallet addresses.

Our compression algorithm allows you to visualize the historical performance of one or several wallet addresses collectively.

You can view the past 30 days of the portfolio (select "Day"), the last six months (select "Month"), or the entire lifespan of the portfolio (select "Year"). You can zoom in and out of the portfolio or choose a specific time period with the gray toggle located beneath the x-axis.

You can filter the chart by the particular blockchain networks that interest you by clicking on the "Chains" dropdown. Additionally, you can filter the chart by the specific crypto assets you're interested in by selecting from the "Assets" dropdown.

Please note that this chart is plotted by taking the highest value for each token on a given day, month, or year.

You might look at your portfolio from six months ago and wonder, "Why did my portfolio drop by 60%?" or "Why did my portfolio increase threefold?"

To help you answer these questions, we've incorporated major historical news events directly onto the chart. Thus, you can see significant news events in the crypto space, ranging from El Salvador adopting Bitcoin as legal tender, to the release of the Gawker article on Bitcoin and Silk Road. Furthermore, you can click anywhere on the chart to see what transactions took place on that particular day, month, or year. Loch sorts these transactions in descending order for your convenience.

This feature allows you to backtest and analyze your portfolio historically.
